Absalom’s Plans

¹⁵ Absalom and all the people, the men of Israel, arrived at Jerusalem. Ahithophel was with him.

¹⁶ When Hushai the Arkite, David’s confidant, came to Absalom, Hushai said to Absalom, “Long live the king! Long live the king!”

¹⁷ Absalom said to Hushai, “Is this your loyalty for your friend? Why didn’t you go with your friend?”
